We had our 31 week appointment

We had our 31 week appointment yesterday and everything is fine. We should have gone in at 30 weeks but that coincided with the week of Christmas. What's up with the doctor taking a vacation...?! Just kidding. Our doctor rocks. She is very friendly and laid back. She makes sure that we are "informed" but let's us make our own decisions. Heck, our appointment yesterday was supposed to be with her but she was called away to tend to another mom and baby (that could be us in March). Another doctor took care of the checkup but our doctor actually called us later in the day to apologize for having to step out and to make sure Mel was doing OK and didn't have any new questions. My favorite is that when I answered the phone she didn't say "this is Dr. Karlsson", she said "this is Anna Karlsson". How many doctors don't throw in the "Doctor" at every opportunity? (OK, it's not like I hang around doctors for the fun of it but there definitely are quite a few that are very pretentious and vain. Dr. Karlsson is not one of those.) Anyways, Evan is doing great. He's a mover-and-a-shaker and has been active pretty much every day, all day. We're close enough to the due date that we scheduled the rest of our appointments. We have two two week appointments and then on January 31^st we start our weekly appointments. Crazy.
