2008 In Review!

Sorry that it has been over 3 months since we last posted. It's amazing that adding 2 kids to the mix leaves very little time to get blog posts done... =) I thought that it would be fun to do a year in review for 2008! So here it goes....

January

Nothing much exciting happened in January, but here's a picture of Evan.

February

This month was pretty eventful for us. February 15th was Evan's 2nd Birthday. A few days before is when we found out that we were pregnant. On February 27th, we went to David's mom's office to do an ultrasound for fun to see the "baby". But to our surprise we saw 2 babies!

March

March was our first doctors appointment and it was confirmed with another ultrasound that indeed we were going to be having twins!

April

At our 14 week ultrasound we found out that we were going to be having two more boys!

May

May was a pretty uneventful month....

June

June was a busy month...We went to one of our doctors appointments only to be sent to the hospital for monitoring. I was put on bed rest at 23 weeks and was told that I couldn't go back to work.

Evan still had fun though! Here he is going for a bike ride with daddy.

July

Since I was on bedrest, David got to do all the fun stuff with Evan. David took Evan to the zoo and the fair during July. Here's a picture of me at 26 weeks 5 days pregnant.

August

The month of August we had a water pipe break. That was fun trying to find where the pipe was (note to self: it's not smart to plant a maple tree over the top of a water pipe!) David, his dad, brother, and even Evan helped to get the pipe found so a plumber could come and fix it. We also decided to get the exterior of the house painted as well. It was not so fun to try and figure out a paint color though!

September

The big event of September was of course the birth of Kaden Alexander and Nolan Frederick. I was induced on September 14th. The pitocin was started at 10:00 pm and Kaden was born September 15th at 6:09 am weighing 4 lbs 6 oz and Nolan was born at 7:14 am and weighed 5 lbs 9 oz. It's not fun being induced later in the evening and then going all night in labor, but in the end the results were so worth it!

This was the last picture of us as a family of 3. We headed off to the hospital soon afterwards.

Nolan is on the left, Kaden on the right.

October

We went to the pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins with Grandma Le, Uncle Mike, Aunt Traci, Brendin, and Dillon. Fun was had by all and the perfect pumpkin was picked by Evan! For Halloween, Evan decided that he wanted to be a ladybug and a cute ladybug he made. The twins were dragons.

November

November we spent one night at the hospital with Kaden. On November 4th, David took Kaden to the emergency room for what we suspected was a hernia. I stayed home with Evan and Nolan, but once I received the call that Kaden was going in for emergency surgery I went to the hospital. Luckily, Aunt Traci came over to stay with Evan and Nolan. Although no one wants their baby in surgery, we were glad to have it taken care of.

We spent Thanksgiving with David's parents. Kaden and Nolan pretty much slept thru their first Thanksgiving. The day after Thanksgiving I went on the annual Black Friday sale with my mom. We of course hit up Fred Meyer's for their sock sale and then went to Target.

December

In December, we ventured out to the tree farm to find our Christmas tree with Evan and Grandpa Hall. Kaden and Nolan stayed nice and toasty warm with Grandma Hall. Amazingly enough we found the perfect tree on the first try! Christmas Eve, we spent with the Hall's and had the traditional fondue we have every year, YUM! Christmas Day we had the "Le" side of the family over to our house for the traditional Ham and fixings...Before everyone came over on Christmas Day, Evan of course had to open his Santa presents, which were two garbage trucks. Fun was had by all on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

So there's our year in review....Hopefully we will be better about posting to this website. We hope everyone had a great 2008 and an even better 2009!
