Memories of the Day

• Holding Evan's hands and body down on the doctor's examination table while he received two shots in the leg. ...and then picking him up in my arms to comfort him afterwards.



• Playing with Evan in our family room while the Boston Red Sox took a commanding lead over the Colorado Rockies in the Game 1 of the 2007 World Series.



• Letting Evan grab a handful of soapy bubbles from the kitchen sink, helping him place some bubbles on my nose, and then watching him as he stared curiously at my face.



• Watching Evan as he stood in my lap in our master bedroom and looked out the window at the bright moon while seemingly glowing, puffy clouds floating across the night sky. This is the first time I have seen Evan actually notice the moon. Pretty amazing.
